Set up a redirect for your domain quickly using this simple step-by-step process in DirectAdmin.
Step 1: Log in to DirectAdmin
Sign in to your DirectAdmin control panel.
Step 2: Open Site Redirection
In DirectAdmin, go to DirectAdmin -> Site Redirection.
Step 3: Select the Correct Domain
If you have multiple domains in your account, use the domain dropdown in the top-right corner to select the domain you want to create the redirect for.
Step 4: Click Create New Redirect
Click the CREATE NEW REDIRECT button.
Step 5: Choose the Local URL Path
In the Local URL Path field, leave it as / if you want to redirect the main domain.
If you want to redirect a specific path only, enter that path instead.
Step 6: Select the Redirect Type
Choose the redirect type you want to use:
301 — Permanent for a permanent redirect
302 — Temporary for a temporary redirect
303 — Replaced if specifically needed
Step 7: Enter the Destination URL
In the Destination URL field, enter the full URL you want the domain or path to redirect to.
Example:
https://example.com
Step 8: Create the Redirect
Click the CREATE button to save the redirect.
Step 9: Test the Redirect
Open the domain in your browser and confirm it redirects to the correct destination.
